Judge Scolds Oklahoma State Over Lack of Response in File-Sharing Case

A federal judge in Oklahoma is asking Oklahoma State University why he should not hold the university in contempt for failing to respond to a subpoena by the Recording Industry Association of America. The industry-group is seeking the names of students that it suspects of swapping music online in violation of copyright law. The judge, David L. Russell, of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, filed the order today. —Andrea L. Foster
