The Million Dollar Home Page has already lived up to its name. The site, a get-rich-quick scheme dreamed up several months ago by a student at the University of Nottingham, in England, offered advertisers a chance to hawk their wares by buying spots on a huge, initially empty grid.
The grid has now filled up. And with the sale of his last piece of digital real estate—a group of 1,000 pixels that went for over $38,000 on eBay—the site’s owner, Alex Tew, has now raked in over $1-million. (The Scotsman)
