Educause, a higher-education technology group, today announced the recipients of its annual awards honoring those whose technology work has had a big impact in academe.
The awardees are:
Joel L. Hartman, vice provost of information technologies and resources at the University of Central Florida. He has mentored many aspiring IT leaders, and has helped develop statewide education and research networks in Illinois and Florida.
Michael J. Albright, director of online learning at Dakota Wesleyan University, and John Nworie, director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning at Fayetteville State University. The two are being honored for their article this year in Educause Quarterly, “Rethinking Academic Technology Leadership in an Era of Change.”
The Regional Networks, which brought together academic and corporate organizations in a trusted network environment. The networks evolved in the late 1980s and early 1990s. —Andrea L. Foster
