Google Print Goes Abroad

Google’s plan to scan millions of books and put them online has attracted plenty of fire from publishers, but that hasn’t stopped the search giant from moving ahead at close to full speed. This week the company unveiled searchable book databases in English for users in 14 nations, including Britain, India, and Uganda. Each country has its own service, Google representatives say, because each country has its own copyright rules. (Internetnews.com)
