Get Accredited or Get Out

Wyoming lawmakers are considering giving private, online colleges a three-year time limit to become candidates for accreditation or else face getting shut down. The state, officials say, has a reputation of coddling online diploma mills. They set up shop there, apply for accreditation, and then don’t follow through.
