Educause, a leading higher-education technology group, announced today that Diana G. Oblinger will become president and chief executive of the group, effective January 1. Ms. Oblinger has been a vice president of the group since 2004 and is responsible for its teaching and learning activities. She has been a faculty member at the University of Missouri at Columbia and Michigan State University, and she has worked for both IBM and Microsoft.
Ms. Oblinger succeeds Brian L. Hawkins, who has led Educause since its formation in 1998. —Andrea L. Foster
