Dick robot, built by researchers at the University of Memphis and the University of Texas at Austin, boasts advanced artificial intelligence, speech-recognition skills, and a lifelike face. The robot should be able to recognize people and carry on conversations—although it probably won’t share Dick’s penchant for experiencing odd visions.
