More and more colleges are using student blogs as a recruiting tool to help prospective students get a better feel for life on campus. Students are invited to write a regular online journal that is presented on a college’s Web site. Some administrators involved with the efforts are warning their bloggers to be careful what they say in the public forum, however: "If you’re doing tequila night, getting blitzed, we don’t want to hear about it,"said Kari Chisholm, a former recruiting consultant for Lewis and Clark College. "And you don’t [want to write about it,] either, because one day, when you’re applying for a job, your boss is going to read about it." Some colleges tell student bloggers that inappropriate material will be edited out. (eSchool News)
