Doctors in training may not have to puzzle over their own notoriously bad handwriting anymore: A growing number of medical and nursing schools are asking students to show up armed with their own PDA’s.
Institutions like Brown University, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and the University of Texas at Austin now require students to purchase and use the devices. PDA’s can become invaluable reference guides for students who are still working on memorizing data like the side effects of certain drugs, according to medical-school officials. And students also use the tools to record information on patients. (Associated Press)
