‘Car 54, Where Are You?’

Drexel University researchers have developed a communication system for security personnel that lets offiers see constantly updated computerized maps indicating the location of other officers. Drexel officials are in talks to sell their system, called DragonForce, to the U.S. military and to police forces. (The Chronicle, subscription required)
