Computing officials at the University of Maryland at College Park can’t be thrilled with the start of their academic year: They’re already fighting the worst virus outbreak they’ve seen in several years. The virus, known as SDbot, is transmitted through America Online’s Instant Messenger software. And it has already struck about 120 computers, according to campus reports. (The Diamondback)
