With podcasting earning fans among college students and professors, it was only a matter of time before the technology got its own academic symposium. And it’s no surprise that Duke University—which attracted a good bit of attention by giving away iPods last year—would be the one to host such a conference.
Duke’s two-day Podcasting Symposium, which takes place next week, will include discussions of the academic and artistic implications of the technology, along with presentations on the economic and legal issues. And the university will, of course, make recordings of those sessions available as podcasts.
