Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have designed a video game that aims to take online security, normally a pretty dry subject, and bring it to life for schoolchildren.
The game, called Carnegie Cadets, asks children to act as “cyber cadets,” protecting the Web and themselves by mastering a series of basic Internet-security concepts. Carnegie Mellon officials have tested the software with students in fifth grade, and the results have been promising, according to KTVU. —Brock Read
