A Tech Tool Clicks With Professors

July 5, 2005, 12:22 pm

"Clickers"—remote controls that let professors quiz their students in class and immediately tally the results, like on a game show—are in vogue among high-school teachers and college professors. GTCO CalComp Inc., a Maryland-based company that manufactures the devices, has sold more than 500,000 clickers, and a number of college bookstores are selling the remotes to students at $10 to $40 a pop.
