OhioLINK, a consortium that buys research databases and electronic journals for Ohio’s college libraries, has been cited as a model for intercollegiate cooperation. But now, facing education cuts in the state’s 2005-2006 budget, the group has tightened its pursestrings. OhioLINK has already dropped 490 seldom-used titles from its collection of electronic journals, and with further cuts planned for next year, the consortium is campaigning to secure additional finances.
