Manhattan, Kan., may soon become the educational-podcasting capital of the world, if officials at Kansas State University get their way. The university has announced plans to convert some 6,000 course recordings into "enhanced podcasts" that combine audio with slides and annotation.
Kansas State has already turned hundreds of recordings—many taken from old lectures archived by the university—into podcasts. And many classes are now set up to automatically record lectures and convert them to an iPod-friendly format. —Brock Read
