A Digital Aid for Deaf Web Surfers

Researchers at the University of East Anglia, in England, have developed a virtual guide that helps deaf computer users navigate the Web. The character, named Guido, translates text that appears on Web pages into sign language for deaf people who are more comfortable with signing than the written word. (BBC News)
