Do you relate well to your students, or do they call you “gramps”? The Pew Research Center offers a nifty quiz that tells where you rank on the generational timeline.

Don’t miss the explanation of the methodology.
(Thanks to Megan M., a doctoral candidate in anthropology, for bringing this to our attention. Megan reports that her score of 44 places her solidly in the Gen-X range and suggests that she relates well to her students.)

By changing my answer to the question about cell phone use, my score went from 29 (originally) to 89 points. So, if I ditch my land line and glue a cell phone to my ear, I’ll relate better to my Millennial students? Really?

I’m 22 years old and only got a score of 59. That’s probably about right though.
