Deadhead Wanted; Organizational Skills a Must

Last month we reported that the University of California at Santa Cruz had obtained a $615,000 grant to digitize its collection of Grateful Dead memorabilia. Now the job of archivist is officially open and is being advertised on this very Web site.

Public colleges and universities are being ravaged by state budget cuts, and California’s situation is more dire than most. But for one fortunate archivist, a pretty cool-sounding job awaits on a campus covered in redwoods, overlooking Monterey Bay.
