Advice on Consent

In Tweed’s continuing series on Great Moments in Student Journalism, we offer this correction, posted on Wednesday by the Iowa State Daily:

The error to which the editor’s note refers was — to use the technical term — a doozy:

The accompanying photo is, I’d say, offensively salacious.

Many daily newspapers (of course, this wasn’t one) have partially or wholesale fired their copy editors.
