Acting on a tip from a gym user who saw someone emerge from a windowless squash court with a bloody nose, University of Manitoba officials shut down a fight club operating in the university’s Frank Kennedy Centre, according to CBC News. An investigation turned up a Facebook page for the club that was later removed, though not before the university learned the names of 87 people who were Facebook fans. Leah Janzen, the university’s communications manager, said that a part-time staff member at the athletics facility was disciplined in the case, and that five gym users had their gym privileges suspended for a month after the university determined that they had been responsible for staging the fights.

If someone comes out of a squash court with a bloody nose it should be from standing too close to another player’s backswing.
