University of Florida trustees voted on Wednesday to name both the institution’s undergraduate business school and an as-yet-unbuilt building for an alumnus who is the chief executive officer of a for-profit college, Full Sail University, with which the University of Florida is now collaborating. The alumnus, James W. (Bill) Heavener, is also a donor to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and is co-chairman of its fund-raising team in Florida. The new building, of about 50,000 square feet, will house the university’s undergraduate business programs. Mr. Heavener, a 1970 graduate of the university, is also involved in media production, Internet services, real-estate franchising, publishing, and banks, the university said, and he is president-elect of the Board of Directors of Gator Boosters Inc., which supports the university’s athletic programs.
