The University of California, under pressure from Congress, has agreed to hire PricewaterhouseCoopers to conduct a financial review of its San Francisco campus, which fired David A. Kessler, the former head of the federal Food and Drug Administration, from his position as dean of the Medical School in 2007 after he cited serious “financial irregularities” at the school.
