Third Time’s a Charm, as House Passes Bill to Increase Scientific Research

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill today to raise spending on research and science education, just hours before the start of the Memorial Day recess. The bill, which Republicans had blocked on two earlier votes, would authorize $85.6-billion in spending over five years.
