The Chronicle Announces 2 Editorial Appointments

Jeff Selingo, editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education, has been named to a new position as vice president and editorial director. Liz McMillen succeeds him as editor.

In her 27 years at The Chronicle, Ms. McMillen has been a reporter, editor of several sections, and the founding editor of The Chronicle’s business section and of the Careers section. Most recently, she has been editor of The Chronicle Review, the opinion section that has expanded and flourished under her leadership.

As vice president and editorial director, Mr. Selingo will be the company’s “editorial entrepreneur in chief” and will direct the development of new editorial innovations. A 14-year veteran of The Chronicle, he will continue to oversee two of The Chronicle’s signature projects that he helped create: The Chronicle’s global efforts and the annual Great Colleges to Work For survey.
