A study of the proposed merger of Southern University at New Orleans and the University of New Orleans is back on track after a judge in Baton Rouge today dissolved an order that had put it on hold, The Advocate, a Baton Rouge newspaper, reports. Judge Tim Kelley, of the 19th Judicial District in East Baton Rouge Parish, said there were procedural flaws with the temporary restraining order another judge signed on Monday in response to a lawsuit filed by opponents of the merger. A hearing on the constitutionality of the merger study is scheduled for February 24.
