UWIRE, a syndication service for student newspapers on college campuses across the country, has temporarily suspended operations, according to a blog run by The Spectator, the student paper at Seattle University. The blog quoted UWIRE’s general manager as saying that Palestra.net, the company that owns UWIRE, was “trying to get the wire relaunched as quickly as possible.” It was unclear if UWIRE was suffering from technical, financial, or other problems.
