An Indiana lawmaker who didn’t get very far when he asked Indiana University and Purdue University to consider rolling back tuition increases may now have their attention. The lawmaker, who is chairman of the State Budget Committee, has removed consideration of construction projects at the universities from the committee’s agenda, The Indianapolis Star reported. Lawmakers in Pennsylvania used a similar tactic in their dispute with Temple University after the Philadelphia institution closed a hospital.
