Sen. Rand Paul Urges Donations for Conservative Project at George Mason U.

Sen. Rand Paul, a Republican of Kentucky, is soliciting private support for the Learn Liberty Project, a Web-based conservative educational program at George Mason University. According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Senator Paul signed a 10-page letter suggesting that donors give $100 to $10,000 as a way to help students learn how to “challenge socialistic professors with the facts.” The senator, a graduate of Baylor and Duke Universities, has no apparent academic ties to George Mason, in Virginia, or to its Institute for Humane Studies, which is undertaking the Learn Liberty Project.
