The Public Education Network, a national association of local education organizations that work to reform education in low-income communities, is starting a project to increase the number of college- and career-ready high-school students by 2013. The organization will announce the project during a conference that opens today in Washington. The project’s main strategy will be to take successful programs, such as high-school-to-college summer bridge programs, and expand them to more low-income communities.
