The parties to the Google Book Search settlement have agreed to deliver an amended agreement to the judge in the case by November 9, according to reports in The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and other media outlets. The Justice Department had raised concerns about the proposed settlement between Google, which wants to digitize and sell a vast library of books, and representatives of publishers and authors.
