The National Collegiate Athletic Association has closed its investigation into Binghamton University’s men’s basketball program, reports the Press & Sun-Bulletin, a local newspaper. In a letter sent to the interim athletic director of the university, the NCAA said it had found no evidence of rules violations in the program, which came under scrutiny after six players were dismissed from the team last year for alleged criminal behavior. The team’s head coach, Kevin Broadus, was relieved of his coaching duties last fall after he admitted to inappropriately contacting recruits.
