Administrators at Ramapo College of New Jersey have banned an alcoholic energy drink known as Four Loko after 23 students were hospitalized for alcohol intoxication since the start of the fall semester, reports The Record, a local newspaper. The drink comes in 23.5-ounce cans and has an alcohol content of 12 percent—equivalent to four beers. It is caffeinated, carbonated, and fruity, which authorities say appeals to underage drinkers.
