Two cases of swine flu have been confirmed at Wake Forest University, and more than 80 students with flu symptoms probably have the disease as well, a university official told the Winston-Salem Journal. Most of the cases have been relatively mild, but the university is telling sick students not to attend classes because H1N1, the virus that causes swine flu, is easily spread. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers college students among several high-risk groups for this new strain of flu, and the agency recently released guidelines for how colleges should help prevent its spread.
