The Massachusetts Institute of Technology released a report today about how race affects the recruitment and retention of black, Hispanic, and Native American professors at the university, as well as their professional opportunities and their collegial experiences. The report acknowledges that MIT has made some progress in recent years, but it concludes that the university must do more to recruit and retain underrepresented minority faculty members.

for what is worth…”HISPANIC” is NOT a race and NEVER has been…even though there is a plague of “latino” charlatanes in the academy, even white ones with direct descendency from European background, who peddle themselves as people of color because they know that is the sure-fire, fast-track trajectory to preferential treatment and immunity from future job performance scrutiny…Conchuella Gomez-Stankfield
