Longtime President of U. of Maryland at College Park Will Step Down

C.D. (Dan) Mote Jr., the University of Maryland at College Park’s president since 1998, announced today that he planned to retire as president on August 31 and, after a leave of absence, return to the Maryland faculty as a professor of engineering.
