Three women who complained that a female administrator at Alabama State University had created a racially hostile environment were awarded more than $1-million by a federal jury Friday evening, according to the Montgomery Advertiser. The administrator and two of the plaintiffs are black women. The third plaintiff was described in court filings as biracial. A spokesman said the university was considering whether to appeal the verdict.
