U. of Tennessee Suspends Fraternity Over ‘Alcohol Enema’ Allegation
The university said the Pi Kappa Alpha house, which was the site of an alleged “alcohol enema” that sent an underage student to the hospital, must be vacated in nine days. The chapter also voluntarily surrendered its charter, according to an announcement from the fraternity’s national office. The university will not consider allowing the chapter to reorganize until at least 2015.
The university’s Student Life Vice Chancellor Tim Rogers will compile a task force of alumni, students, faculty and staff “to review Greek life on campus and to make recommendations for improving a personal sense of responsibility among members and enhancing the chapters’ contributions to campus life.”
