For-Profit Art Academy Sues to Regain Cal Grant Eligibility

The Academy of Art University was one of 137 for-profit institutions that recently lost eligibility for California’s Cal Grant student-aid program as a result of the tougher standards set this year.


The Academy of Art University has sued the California Student Aid Commission, arguing the state agency should not have ruled the San Francisco college’s students ineligible for Cal Grants in the 2012-13 academic year.
