Florida A&M U. Suspends Fraternity After Alleged Verbal Abuse

The allegations, which do not involve physical abuse, are the latest to surface at a university that has been mired in controversy since a member of its marching band died in a hazing incident last year.


“While I am extremely upset and disappointed to hear that another student organization may have engaged in hazing and at the very least may have violated our clear rules for intake, it is good to know that students are feeling empowered to step forward and report incidents like these,” Robinson said. “The only way we will eradicate hazing from our campus and from our culture is to resist hazing and report it to authorities.”
