9 Employees at Northern Illinois U. Charged in Scrap-Selling Scheme

The suspects, including a former associate vice president for finance and facilities and the current controller, allegedly made thousands of dollars by selling scrap materials and pocketing the proceeds.


Employees allegedly had sold university scrap materials, including those from campus building renovations, and used the money as a slush fund for holiday parties, retirement celebrations and similar social uses.
