The Institute of Medicine, part of the National Academies, announced today the election of 65 new members and five foreign associates, bringing its total active membership to 1,610 and the number of foreign associates to 93. An additional 75 members have emeritus status. The names of the new members and associates are listed in a news release from the National Academies.
