The Institute for International Education has set up a fund to help Thai students in the United States whose studies may be in jeopardy because of extensive flooding in their homeland. The fund, which is supported by the Freeman Foundation, will provide grants of $2,000 to $5,000 to Thai students at American colleges who face “serious financial difficulties” and may not be able to complete the current or spring semester. The deadline for applications is December 19.
