The Council for Advancement and Support of Education has selected Paul C. Heaton, a college public-relations director, to lead its new CASE Center for Community College Advancement. The center, which is scheduled to open in July, will provide training and resources to help community colleges build and sustain effective fund-raising, alumni-relations, and communications and marketing programs. Mr. Heaton currently serves as director of public relations at Northwestern Michigan College.
