Shocker! Our economy is in abysmal condition, unemployment continues to rise, the US government is printing money as if they are inviting an inflationary rise, and our children and grandchildren are being plunged into debt that they will probably never be able to pay back. We are racing down a path of “big brother” socialism, with the administration and congress painting a crosshair target on anyone with a good income or a small business. And somehow, we are supposed to be optimistic about philanthropic giving by those who still have some money left in this economy? They are holding on to what they still have in anticipation that it will likely soon be depleted or confiscated by our march towards Marxism. The same concern that is diminishing philanthropy to universities is also diminishing the willingness to invest in innovative small businesses and start up companies- all to the detriment of our economy. But the government will take wonderful care of us, won’t it?
