The Institute of International Education has established a fund to help Syrian students studying in the United States who are facing financial problems because of the unrest in their homeland. The fund is accepting nominations from American colleges and universities for Syrians who may not be able to complete their studies because of the turmoil. The students would receive emergency awards of $2,000 each. The deadline for nominations is February 29.
