A joint program between Bard College and Al-Quds University, the first collaboration ever between a Palestinian and an American college to offer a dual-degree program, has opened in Abu Dis, a village on the outskirts of East Jerusalem. The four-year program, first reported in February by The Chronicle, will lead to dual bachelor’s degrees for 60 students in 10 majors.

I am astounded that the Chronicle’s comments reviewer would permit the ignorance, hatred and vitriol expressed by mart7624 to be posted. Then again, I shouldn’t be astounded since our academic communities seem to be degrading to little more than ignorance, hatred, and vitriol, particularly when the Middle East is the topic of discussion.
