The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia has sued a private foundation that the Medical College of Georgia severed ties with last year but that has continued to use the medical college’s name, the board announced today. The Medical College of Georgia, which terminated its relationship with the Medical College of Georgia Foundation Inc. over disputes about how to spend endowment funds, wants the foundation to stop using its name and cease collecting donations on its behalf.
