Skyline College, in San Bruno, Calif., just south of San Francisco, was “in lockdown” on Wednesday after a shooting in a college parking lot, according to an announcement on its Web site. The Associated Press reported that the victim was a student and was being treated for two non-life-threatening wounds. The police believed the shooting was an isolated incident. While officers were searching the campus, however, some students seemed fearful of being caught in a cross-fire. One told the San Mateo County Times that officers pointed guns at buildings and told people to come out with their hands up.
