Central Michigan University and the association representing its tenured and tenure-track faculty members have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract, The Morning Sun, a local newspaper, reported. Details of the tentative pact were not released. The agreement came after a 14-hour negotiating session on Thursday, the 35th meeting between the two sides since April. Professors walked off their jobs briefly in August but were ordered back to work by a court.
